Jayne is 58 and Curt is 62. They've both had long and successful careers, their kids are out of the house (finally!) and they're thinking about their impending retirement.
They have various saving, investment, and retirement accounts, in addition to a house that still has a mortgage. Curt knows he is now old enough to claim social security benefits, but isn't sure whether he should.
Jayne hopes to travel more during retirement while Curt envisions lazy afternoons spent on a boat he has his eye on.
By creating a Retirement Plan we can determine at what age they can retire that will allow them to live the retirement (i.e. travel and boating) they envision. We can also decide the best social security claiming strategy for their situation and discuss when/if they should pay off their mortgage.
